Development Area: 32.8 ha
Design Style: Contemporary

Sobha Green Acres is well located on major transport routes making this a prime location within Whitefield, Bangalore with ready access to the IT Centres, hospitals, schools, colleges, malls as well recreational facilities. The community covers over 32 hectares with high rise blocks which houses 7000 apartments and over 60% of the site area allocated for landscape.

The entire landscape is designed as a naturalistic one with a key focus of achieving a forested feel. The design includes over 3500 trees, which creates a green canopy for the entire development. The central activity node is the existing swale which has been proposed to be rejuvenated , along the banks of which are activity zones like camping areas, meditation zones, seating and relaxation pavilions. The development is intended to be interconnected by a series of walkways, cycleways and jogging tracks. There are a number of pools, from a full sized Olympic pool to some small fun pools for the kids, active spaces including tennis courts, and places for meditation and yoga.

SCI was commissioned to prepare the concept landscape master plan and has delivered 5 distinctive concepts to synchronize with the 5 phases of development: Rainforest, Mediterranean Forest, Tropical Greens, Palm Springs and Oasis. The project presented a unique challenge to SCI where pre-cast, modular elements must be integrated with the landscape design approach. Sobha Developers are known for using cutting edge pre cast technology in their projects to high quality standards.

["post-48","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
