Located 20 kilometres North of Dali on the eastern shores of the Erhai Lake, Dali Hai Dong Golf Course is an integrated resort community covering around 900 hectares with 36 holes of Golf, with the initial 18 holes design designed by Nicklaus Design..

The project includes a mix of uses including resort and residential with supporting facilities, commercial, education, including a tourism university campus, culture, recreation and a hospital. The project had a strong empathises environmental principles including sustainable infrastructure measures and agri-industry incorporated into the development, and areas of land for forest and landscape preservation.

There were various integrated themes for the projects landscape and architecture from the French Hillside Chateaus, Kibuttz where sustainable farming was a feature of the phase to Reignwood Academy developed around a Sustainable Tourism University Campus.
